The role
As the Senior Warehouse Planning Manager in our fulfillment center development division, you’ll join a cross-functional team who is building the intra-logistical warehouse processes for the future.
Your main responsibilities are to create the optimal fulfillment process of our product and design the material handling equipment for it accordingly. You own the design-, tender- and supplier selection processes of all needed works and make sure that we choose the right partner to implement that fulfillment solution.

What you’ll do
- Plan holistic fulfillment concepts based on optimal processes
- Design thorough fulfillment solutions with the necessary material handling equipment and also take on responsibility for the supporting trades across all planning phases
- Define requirements e.g. of the building, the data landscape and -interfaces, up to the control room equipment
- Create specifications, you are the main contact person in the offer phase, you evaluate offers and support negotiations until the contracts are concluded and the result of your work being handed over to the implementation team
- Innovate our fulfillment processes by challenging the status quo and smartly integrate innovative solutions into our fulfillment process
What you’ll bring
- You are proud of your degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
- With 5-7 years of professional experience in the planning of logistics systems in brown- and/or greenfield (preferred B2C) you have gained broad technical expertise
- You are able to write detailed technical requirements, develop business models, define support requirements and processes and convince senior management of innovative fulfillment solutions
- You have experience in the procurement of logistic solutions and you are well connected in the Material Handling Equipment industry
- You possess about a great knowledge of the solutions available and their benefits
- Excellent negotiation skills turn through discussions into fruitful decisions for progress. You’re discussing the solutions on eye level with senior management and challenge internal and external stakeholders on design and process decisions
- Good organization is one of your great strengths, you act proactively and always convince with clear communication both internally and with external providers
- You are characterized by a high level of motivation and enthusiasm and you are open to travel abroad
- You have a very analytical approach to logistics and feel comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses and drive decisions
