TASKS WITH IMPACT
The Store Format & Design Team leads the global Douglas format strategy, orchestrating the transformation of Douglas stores across Europe with unparalleled experience.
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Store Designer who is passionate about retail design and highly motivated to support the creations in the store design team. This role plays a supportive role in achieving the overarching goal of Douglas Brand consistency across all stores. A highly motivated team is waiting for you to join.
- You support in the development of the global standardized Douglas Store Design, considering all relevant format elements. Under guidance, you translate these concepts into standardized floor plans, which serve as the basis for local planning of new stores and renovations.
- You assist the Retail Design Team in general with mood boards, material research, and drawings (2D/3D) from the concept phase to technical execution.
- You are familiar with the market and competitors' designs - you regularly scan the market for new materials, designs, and competitive developments.
- You support the monitoring of nationwide implementation of store layouts and brand elements.
YOUR SKILLS
- You have successfully completed a university degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Retail Design, or a related field.
- Ideally, you have some initial experience in Interior Design/Retail Design.
- Your profound understanding of the global retail design market and your keen sense of trends and our customers distinguish you.
- You possess excellent communication skills, enjoy presentations, and you are fluent in English.
- Creative thinking, technical understanding, and a detail-oriented approach characterizes you. Additionally, you are innovative and consistently bring forth new ideas and solutions.
- Proficiency in Design/architecture programs like Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and modeling with 3D program; Proficient in use of Office program suite.
- Willingness to travel and occasional store visits within Europe (day trips).
