YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a
Senior Manager - Product Data Excellence BES
(Brenntag EMEA Based), m/f/d. This role will be reporting directly to the
Director Data excellence BES.
Responsibilities
- Executing global BES Data Excellence strategy together with BES regions as per the Roadmap defined
- Collecting and consolidating global data requirements to deliver the most value for BES
- Implementing data strategy by leading a regional BES product experts network
- Aligning with regional IT and master data teams to ensure the functionalities to be implemented when rolling out platforms and systems, e.g. SAP Business Warehouse, Sales Forces, local ERPs, etc…
- Act as a single contact point for the global data initiatives and projects
- Definition of KPIs for the product data attributes to create global standard, including harmonization and definition of product data field with regards to Global Product Data, incl. new data like sustainability
- Working with master data teams to produce policies, processes, procedures in accordance with business rules and governance to ensure the data is harmonized and readily available for use internally and externally for marketing purposes
- Highlighting issues and roadblocks and work to address them collaboratively with other divisions
Executing assignment process of BES materials to Global products and implementing monitoring processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of assignments. - Acts as 1st level escalation point for decisions on product allocation for Global product hierarchy run-organization.
- Defining data quality management measures for accurate Global Product Data assignment and ongoing data maintenance.
- Single point of contact for all Global Product Data structure related questions and issues
YOUR PROFILE
- 8 years of professional experience in data related functions and ideally product management experience in chemical industry (business analytics, strategic project management. master data management, commercial analysis, and others).
- Ability to transform and embed strategic business view into Global Product Data requirements.
- Affinity and hands on experience with product data and data processes in chemical industry with a board understand of product data attributes, e.g. materials/product creations
- Experience managing a team in a matrix organization, strong analytical and critical thinking skills preferred
- Proven track record in creating commercial and business impacts with a change mindset
- Experience working with BI /Data analytics tools and ERP systems, ideally with knowledge about Brenntag internal, commercial reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skill (Written and Spoken) in English is a must (proficiencies in other languages an advantage).
