Junior Game Designer (m/f/d)

Since the release of its MMOGs "Lords & Knights," "Medieval Kingdoms," and "Mission Chief," XYRALITY has been one of the most successful mobile game studios in Europe. Today, around 50 dedicated employees work on the sustainable further development of our game portfolio.

And our team is growing: We are looking for a motivated and committed junior talent as a Junior Game Designer (m/f/d) for our new game project. This role is predominantly based in our Hamburg office, with the option for some remote days after the induction period and subject to agreement. This position is available immediately.

Your tasks:

• Development of game features
• Optimization and development of game mechanics to enhance user engagement and monetization
• Creation and continuous maintenance of game design documents
• Management of liveops: supervision of game events, in-app promotions and community management to promote player loyalty and monetization
• Balancing of game elements and mechanics based on analytical data and player feedback
• Close collaboration with the development team

Required skills:

• An academic degree preferably in the field of game design or media computer science, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in the development of construction, strategy, and/or simulation games (preferably in the mobile sector)
• Understanding of game mechanics and their impact on the gaming experience, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to game development
• Proficient use of presentation and spreadsheet software
• Very good language skills in both German and English, both orally and in writing, to effectively communicate in an international team
