In this role – as a project manager and business owner – you will be responsible for delivering projects on schedule, budget, scope and quality to ensure customer satisfaction while optimizing project profitability.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage multiple, complex and multi-national projects
• Deliver projects on schedule, budget, scope/deliverables and quality
• Ensure customer satisfaction and foster customer relationships
• Manage, negotiate and approve change orders in scope, schedule and cost in cooperation with the relevant Sales Office or Local Business Partners
• Ensure project profitably
• Manage cross-business unit work scope within Emerson where necessary
• Apply PMO project execution methodologies
• Understand commercial and legal T&C’s and their implications to the relevant project
• Ensure reconciliation of the customer’s PO against the quotation
• Interface and continuously communicate with the customer, contractor and local business partners throughout the the project
• Manage project procurement and work with the purchasing team
• Manage risk and apply risk management best practices
• Ensure that commercial documentation such as Bank Guarantees, Bonds, Letters of Credit, Export Licence etc., are produced and available at the appropriate times to facilitate shipment and invoicing without delays
• At the end of each project conduct a close-out/lessons learns meeting
• Build and foster partnerships with key suppliers

Your Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent education, e.g. Staatl. Gepr. Techniker (m/w/d)
• PMP certification would be beneficial
• Project management experience in an engineer to order manufacturing environment in the mechanical engineering industry
• Good communicator, negotiator and good active listener
• Knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP or Oracle) would be beneficial
• Proficient in English (verbally and written)
