OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

  • Lead and oversee upstream and low carbon energy M&A Projects and ensure successful evaluation, execution and integration as well as establish and lead project teams of 5-25 people across all concerned disciplines.
  • Act as the face of OMV during M&A evaluations and negotiations as well as negotiate and oversee the development of transactional documents, including setting up governance models for new business ventures.
  • Present initial assessment and valuation outcomes to senior management, along with recommendations for next steps.
  • Prepare information and documentation for reviews and approvals in line with OMV governance and Upstream Business Development standards.
  • Execute transactions and oversee the implementation process, including external notifications and regulatory approvals.
  • Manage the transition and integration process for acquisitions and separation process for divestments as well as lead OMV and act as OMV representatives in Joint Transition Teams with Buyers/Sellers.
  • Act as the focal point for business transition and integration/separation in Upstream Business Development.
  • Develop and maintain work regulations and processes related to business transition, integration, and separation as part of the Upstream Business Development Standard.
  • Attend Business Development Opportunity Challenges either as a Project Manager for transition and integration/separation works or as a Challenger.
  • Advise and provide services to other projects related to organizational business transition, integration, and/or separation, such as establishing and transferring business to Operating and non-Operated Companies.

Your profile

  • University Degree/Master Diploma in Business Administration, Law or Commercial area.
  • Minimum 15 Years of International Business Development and or M&A Experience in the energy business, ideally including upstream and low carbon business projects as well as proven track record in managing joint ventures.
  • Extended experience in planning, economics, and financial management (Opex, Capex, investment decision-making).
  • Distinctive strategic thinking and a holistic understanding of corporate strategy.
  • Proven track record in leading large project teams and steering a business unit as well as interacting with authorities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and Fluent in English.
