Your role
Do you have a passion for analysing financial data and related information to solve varying and complex suitability and conflicts of interest related issues for new business? Are you able to manage complex and varied projects in an efficient and effective manner? Are you able to liaise with people globally?
We're looking for someone like you to:
• liaise with business units to gather relevant details and initiate conflict checks
• analyze transactions, research companies and identify potential issues during diligence of conflict checks
• work closely with global members of the Conflicts and Business Selection Unit to collect relevant feedback and identify and resolve issues arising during the conflict check process while managing deal teams’ expectations around outcome and turnaround time
• monitor the status of opportunities and proactively flag issues that may arise post completion of the conflict check process
• maintain detailed records on all aspects of the conflict management process for internal documentation and audit purposes
• engage and collaborate with team members globally through the presentation of ideas and recommendations regarding best practice of conflict management
• provide support and assistance on important team projects and initiatives, when required
Your team
You'll will be based in Switzerland covering Switzerland, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, working closely with respective counterparts based in the UK, Americas and Asia Pacific (APAC), reporting to the EMEA Head of Conflict Clearance and Business Selection.
Your expertise
• ideally 1-2 years' conflicts experience or a law degree
• proven ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner and bring them to a timely completion
• strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• strong work ethic and pro-activity
• excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel and online research tools
• comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with high sense of urgency / multi-tasking skills
• able to work in close consultation with others as part of a small team and interact directly with a wide group of professionals throughout the firm including senior leadership
• flexible regarding work hours if needed to support the business
